Remember the popular song from the 70′s, “LEAN ON ME?” The chorus goes like this: “Lean on me when you’re not strong. I’ll be your friend, I’ll help you carry on!”
It is great to have friends and family that are there for us, those we can depend on. We all need “Faith Buddies!” I cherish my family and awesome friends and I know you do, too. It is a great time of the year to stop and give thanks for those wonderful people the Lord has brought into your life.
I know we all realize that even though our family and friends love us, they cannot be our source of peace and joy, or our strength. We are not to put our trust in people nor expect them to meet all our needs. When we do, we will be disappointed!
This holiday season, I want to encourage you to LEAN ON THE EVERLASTING ARMS OF THE LORD! What a place of refuge from the busyness of life. The Word of God is full of verses about the strength of the arms of the Lord, and instruction for us to lean on Him. In His loving arms, we will be infused with strength, peace, joy, comfort, wisdom, encouragement, etc…. YOU NAME IT, HE HAS GOT!
